DEATHS IN HOSPITAL.— The police allege that negligence caused 17 deaths in the Macon women’s Hospital where it was first thought that a mysterious killer was at work. A member, of the Macon Faculty of Medicine said that excess sodium chloride had been used in solutions prepared for the patients’ treatment. The police decided to form a commission to establish the source of the negligence. MUSEUM DIRECTOR'S DEATH.—The death has occurred in England of Sir Clive Foster-Cooper, director of the British Museum (National History). CONCESSION TO SOVIET.—The Associated Press correspondent in Bucharest says it is authoritatively learned that the peace treaty, which Parliament has ratified, provides that the Russians may maintain troops in Rumania to keep open communications to Austria until the Austrian treaty is ratified. Actually the Russian occupation of Rumania is supposed to end 90 days after the exchange of the instruments of ratification
