Sitting Mayor Supported
The Auckland Citizens and Ratepayers’ Association has decided to support the. sitting Mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, as the association’s official candidate for the Mayoralty at the municipal elections in November, This was announced by the chairman of the association, Mr. j. B. Donald. The meeting of the association at which the decision was made was a full one, and was attended by delegates of the central branch and representatives of the eight suburban branches, said Mr. Donald. The decision to support Mr. Allum was unamnous.
