MR. BEVIN’S ESCAPE
BOMB PLOT RECALLED BRUSSELS, .Tunc 12. A leading newspaper says that when the British Foreign Secretary, Mr. Ernest Bevin, visited Moscow last April the Stern Gang plotted to place a bomb in liis railway carriage when he returned across Belgium. The plot miscarried because Mr. Bevin acted on advice from Brussels and returned to Britain by air.
