STAGGERING BURDEN
CHILDREN’S FGDTWEAR PRICE BREACH £36 FINE (P.A.) AUCKLAND. May 2. "I don’t suppose there is anything that hurts more or causes greater difficulty to a family man than the high prices of children’s footwear. They are almost staggering to the ordinary wage earner. There is a special duty to see that the price orders are obeyed. A shilling here and a sh'Jling there becomes a serious matter.” This observation was made by the magistrate Mr. J. H. Luxi'ord, today when he fined J.wk Leslie Murt £36 for breaches of the price control regulations.
