TICKLE REMOVED

WOOL PROCESS ALSO UNSHRINKABLE MOTH PROOF FINISH (11.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 1. An exhibition of new and secret methods of processing and finishing wool which was opened in London today includes “tickle proof” wool which has been rendered completely unshrinkable by chlorzyme, or a silky finish and completely waterproof wool treated with velan. The display also includes a folding “concertina” door made of wool and treated with a moth, mildew and ver-min-proof solution, and an outfit for rendering fabrics mothproof which will soon be on sale. The International Wool Secretariat arranged the exhibition. Lord Barnby, a leading figure in Britain’s wool industry, in opening the exhibition, said he was extremely gratified to see scientific research applied so effectively to wool, especially in making it moth, water and fire proof and unshrinkable.
