Pigs for Nauru A shipment of 46 pigs to assist in restocking Nauru Island was loaded at Auckland on Wednesday by the British Phosphate Commission’s motor-ship Trienza. The Trienza, which has discharged a phosphate cargo at Auckland sailed yesterday on her return to Nauru with stores. Car Locks Scarce So keen a demand has arisen for locking door handles for motor-cars, to replace those smashed by car thieves, that the trade in Auckland is finding difficulty in supplying replacements At least one motor-era, a small model of oopulnr British make, has been returned from the coachbuilders after a repair, with no locking door handle because none is available. Bystander Becomes Juryman When the jury panel in the Supreme Court, Hamilton, became exhausted a bystander was called upon to serve. Two juries were considering cases and when a third case was called counsel challenged five jurors. No more jurymen were available to fill one vacancy that remained and when the position was explained to him the bystander offered no objection to serving and was sworn in.
