BRITISH ]NDUSTRY CLASS WAR MUST END CARDINAL’S WARNING LONDON, April 27. The Catholic Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Griffin, who is flying to Vatican City to-morrow to pay the visit which cardinals make once every five years, said in an “Industrial Sunday” broadcast in London that unless people banished the spirit of class war, based on hate, selfishness and misunderstanding from industrial relationships, it would lead Britain to disaster. The existence of many joint boards and working parties was hopeful trend towards the ideal of industrial co-operation. “The present vital necessity of productive work has led to a new appreciation of those engaged in it,” he added. “A fact which stands out now. as never before, is the importance of the workers.”
