SHIP HITS WHARF
ACCIDENT TO PAMIR (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 28. Misadventure befell the barque Pamir on her return to Wellington yesterday from Sydney after her long absence from the Dominion. A a she was being worked into her berth at Queen's Wharf her bow struck the wharf, stoving in the 12-inch hardwood top baulk and damaging some of the planking. One of her yard-arms came in contact with part of the wharf shed, driving a hole in the woodwork. Little damage was done to the ship. The Pamir, which left Lyttelton on December 14 for Sydney, se.t out on her return voyage to New Zealand on April 14. She has on board 2700 tons of cement which is to be used principally on farms.
