MAN’S MEAN THEFT
STOLE £2O FROM FIANCEE (P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 24. On the day that she was to have been married a woman was robbed of one £lO Liberty war bond and 10 £1 Liberty bonds by her prospective husband who disappeared. This was revealed in the Police Court to-day when David Allan Ferry pleaded guilty to the theft. He was stated by the police to have a formidable list of convictions. Accused was sentenced to six months’ reformative detention. For a maintenance order default he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. “You are just a mean thief,” said the magistrate. Mr. F. H. Levien.
