WAIKATO WELCOME
LORD AND LADY BLEDISLOE WAITANGI RESERVE VISIT (P.A.I AUCKLAND. March 26. Continuing their Now Zealand tour, Viscount and Lady Blcdisloe arrived in Auckland by motor-car from the Waikato last night. They were the guests of the Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, and Lady Freyberg at Government House last night and are to leave for Paihia this morning to visit the Waitangi reserve.
En route to Auckland, Lord and Lady Blcdisloe visited Ngaruawahia Pa, where they were warmly received with traditional Maori ceremonies despite the unfavourable weather.
During their stay at Paihia Lord and Lady Blcdisloe will be the guests of Mr. V. H. Reed, secretary of the Waitangi Trust Board. They will return to Auckland next Monday and will spend nine days in the city before leaving for Christchurch.
