Changeable Weather Defended.
“If we did not have a variety of weather in Now Zealand, this country would not be the fertile land it is,” said Mr. J. W. Woodcock, of the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, referring to the unsettled weather over the Year period. Although harvesting and shearing were temporarily set back by such weather, these delays occurred” every year and were allowed for. On the other hand, the warm rain recently would bring the .grass away well for the dairy farmers.
