Rabbit Destruction

In the last three months 3361 b of phosphorised pollard poison has been used by the Central Hawke's Bay Rabbit Board. This is equivalent to approximately 160,000 baits laid, and on the basis of 50 per cent, of baits taken it is estimated that a kill of 80,000 rabbits has been made. Last month rabbiters with clogs and casual poisoners destroyed 7000 rabbits, this being in addition to the estimated kills of pollard poisoning.
