ILEX NEARS SYDNEY
HOVE TO IN BIG SEAS (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 10. At the time of the latest, report picked up in New Zealand, the ketch Ilex was 340 miles due east of Sydney. The message was received at 2 a.m. yesterday by the meteorological station at Dunedin and relayed to Wellington Flying Control at 9 a.m. The message said that after being hove-to because of heavy weather for 12 hours the ketch was then making a good speed of four t.o five knots.
