ORMOND SCHOOL

AGRICULTURAL SHOW The annual show at the Ormond School was held last week when there was a very larg’ gathering of parents and friends to see the judging of the calves reared by the cnildren of the school. An additional feature was the running oc a flower show and vegetable show. Mr. F. R. Bould acted as judge for the stock and Mrs. Graham as judge for the produce. At the conclusion of the stock judging. Mr. Boul i, in the course of his remarks. said that the 18 calves entered were of the highest quality and that they presented a real difficulty in the judging as they were separated :n each case by only a few' points. They would be a credit'to any dairy district in New Zealand. The afternoon concluded with the serving of a dainty afternoon tea and ice-cream for the children. _ The following were the judges placirigs in the calf show: — Dairy Type:—Kitty Graham. 1; Bruce Young, 2; Keith Cook. 3' Brian Lovelock. v.h.c. lan Cook.
