Effect of Fish Diet
An example of the effect of the unvaried English diet was quoted by Air Chief Marshal air Arthur Longmore, GCB, D. 5.0., at a reception given by the Mavor of Auckland, Mr. J. A. C. Ailuin. ’ Sir Arthur said his son returned from war service recently to find that, because of the stringent meat I rationing, fish had become almost a staple diet at his home. One day, in desperation, he appealed to his mother not to give him any more fish, gning the reason that he had eaten so much during the past few months that ms stomach was going in and out with the tide.
