NO OFFICIAL PROTEST
U. 5. DAVIS CUP TEAM BROMWICH’S PROCEDURE (9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 10. The captain of the American Davis Cup team. Mr. Walter Pate, said he would not protest officially against John Bromwich’s method of disposing of'the loose ball while serving in the Davis Cup matches. He still reserved the right to change his mind, but Australian officials interpreted his remarks as indicating the end of the dispute.
