PETROL IN GISBORNE ROSTER SYSTEM STARTING Falling into line with many other Dominion centres and for the convenience of bona fide travellers in need of ■petrol during the week-ends to can„ them on to other parts, Gisboino seivice stations will operate a roster system for emergency sales outside normal trading hours starting next Saturday. , , This decision was reached on lhuisday night at a meeting of the Gisborne branch of thc Now Zealand Retail Motoi Trades Association. . _. Five petrol service stations in Gisborne will take their turn on the roster at monthly intervals, and the hours ot opening for emergency sales will be 4 p m to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on Sundays Thc secretary of the branch. Mr. K. W J. Edwards, said purchasers would be required to furnish a good reason for requiring urgent petrol outside the hours of normal trading.
