JAVA DISPUTE SPLIT IN CABINET NEW INDONESIAN MOVES (11.15 a.m.) LONDON. Dec. 6. The Netherlands Cabinet and Com-mission-General on Java have had their fourth and final conference. The Cabinet is expected to reach a decision on the draft agreement with the Indonesians during the week-end, says Reuter’s correspondent at The Hague. Meanwhile, a Batavia message reports that the Indonesians’ largest political organisation, the Islamic
Party, has rejected and intends to campaign against the draft agreement. The Associated Press correspondent in Batavia says the Islamic Party’s rejection of the draft agreement occurred at an all-Java conference at Surakarta. The party holds eight portfolios in the Sjahrir Cabinet. It is authoritatively stated .that if the Islamic Party Cabinet members resign, M. Sjahrir will submit his own resignation, after which the President, Dr. Soekarno, is expected to ask the Islamic leader, M. Soekiman, to form a new Cabinet, which would be pledged to reopen negotiations with the Dutch in an effort to win greater concessions.
