FRENCH HEROINE DECORATED BY THE KING.— Mrs Odette Sansom and her commanding officer in the Resistance Movement, Captain Peter Churchill, were decorated by the King during an investiture at Buckingham Palace, London, on the morning of November 19. Mrs Sansom, who received the George Cross, will be a witness in the trial of her former gaolers and torturers —the prison staff of Ravensbruk Concentration Camp —on December 3. Captain Peter Churchill received the Distinguished Service Order. Mrs Odette Sansom, who is now living at Liss, Hampshire, worked behind the German lines in her native France and was captured by the Gestapo in April, 1943.
