PRICES REDUCED

PROPERTY SALES GISBORNE : OPOTIKI VENDORS GIVE APPROVAL In several applications handled by the Gisborne Land Sales Committee at its weekly sitting yesterday prices agreed upon between parties to the applications were reduced, the proportion of the write-off being considerable in at least two instances. The agreed price of a business property in Gladstone road, comprising 35.34 per., was £2OOO, but a special Crown valuation was only £1225. The vendor accepted a reduction of the agreed price to conform with the special valuation, and the committee approved the sale at £1225. In the ease of a section at Opotiki, of lrd., the vendor agreed to the agreed price of £IOO being reduced to £SO, the figure put on the property by a special Crown valuation, and the sale of a section in Whitaker street, Gisborne, of 18.51 per„ was approved at £l4O with the vendors’ consent, this figure being £35 below the agreed price.
