TRAGEDY AT WAITARA (P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH. Doc. 5. A two-year-old child who fell in the Waitara River at Waitara yesterday while playing was drowned before help arrived. He was Garry John Steel, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Steel, Waitara. The child’s body was recovered about a mile downstream from where he fell from the bank.
