New Motor Number Plates
Motor registration number plates will be issued again when the new licensing periods starts in June. There will be no more stickers. The manufacture of the plates is to be undertaken by a Wellington engineering firm, which is calling for men for the work, but they are difficult to get. Confirming the fact that arrangements had been made for the issue of plates, the commissioner of transport, Mr. G. L. Laurenson, stated that some of the old plates were much “knocked about” after several years of service. The plate system 1 load r ■ p'l-q party
