KIWIS AT TOULOUSE FRANCE'S FATAL SLIP (11 a.m.) LONDON, March 25. The Kiwi Rugby team defeated a French team at Toulouse by one penalty goal and two converted tries to one dropped goal and two tries. It was not until shortly before the interval that Scott replied with a penalty goal for the Kiwis to a French dropped goal scored earlier. The Frenchmen early in the second half added an unconverted try. A Kiwi forward, after a short passing movement, went over for a try, which Scott converted. France almost immediately regained the lead with a try.
Then came a slip which, Reuter’s correspondent says, cost France the matclF Young snapped up a loose ball and touched down between the posts after a 40-yard sprint. Scott converted. New Zealand won by 13 points to 10.
