SYDNEY THIEVES’ HAUL SLEEPER’S SAFE SACKED SYDNEY. March 25. While inmates of a Vaucluse House were at the theatre burglars broke in and stole £IOOO worth of jewels. The jewel case was taken to a nearby cemetery and broken open. At Cremorne thieves stole the key of a safe from the pocket of a newsagent while he slept, opened the safe and made off with £IOO. The newsagent awoke when he heard them trying to break into the shop next door
