MAN’S BODY FOUND
CHELSEA SUGAR WORKS (P.A.) AUCKLAND. March 26. The body of an elderly man employed as a cleaner by the Colonial .Sugar Refining Company was found in an ash tower at the Chelsea works. He was Mr. Michael Keegan, aged about 60 years, of Auckland. He had been dead for about two days. An engineer found him lying on the floor beside an ash conveyor in the tower. The tower, which is over 40ft high, is seldom visited, and Mr. Keegan had apparently been dead since Friday, when he was last seen at about midday. Part of his work was to keep the ash conveyor free of obstructions. An inquest will be held.
