CONTINUATION OF TALKS JAVA’S FUTURE STATUS GO a.m.) BATAVIA. March 24. In the negotiations on the status of Java the Dutch and Indonesian delegates discussed the conditions under which internees are held in central Java The delegates also decided to form a sub-committee to handle judicial matters.
A spokesman said this was taken as indicating that the negotiators had reached the point of drafting a settlement or perhaps a new Constitution. The atmosphere continued to be cordial and optimistic. He expressed the opinion that the military operations at Bandoeng were unlikely to affect the negotiations.
