BANNED BY DENMARK
LUXURY GOODS IMPORTS
SHORTAGE OF EXCHANGE GO a.m.) LONDON. March 24. Denmark has banned imports of goods from Britain, reports the Exchange Telegraph. The reason given to the Board of Trade by the Danes is that no more imports of luxury articles, including British-made clothes, can be allowed until arrangements are made to enable Denmark to pay for them. The ban on luxury goods applies to all countries, not only Britain. The ban is described as temporary and is due to the shortage of foreign exchange. It is understood that Britain has agreed to import everything she can from Denmark to case .the exchange position.
