GERMANS DENY GUILT SIR W. CITRINE’S VIEW GO a.m.) BERLIN. March 24. "Who supported Hitler? That's what I want to know. Everyone in Germany denies having done so," said/ Sir Walter Citrine, after a lour of Germany as head of the World Federation of Trade Unions’ delegation. He added that he had not found one respoiisible official in the four occupation zones of Germany who was satisfied that de-Nazificatibn was complete.
The United States deputy Military Governor. Lieutenant-General Lucius Clay, stated that the authorities in the American zone and American sector of Berlin would not recognise the merger of the Social Democrat and Communist Parties unless it was certain that the merger was properly agreed to by the majority of members of the parties concerned.
