CONCORD POSSIBLE
PERSIA AND RUSSIA
IRAN PREMIER'S RELIEF
TEHERAN, March 22.
With Generalissimo Stalin’s assistance and understanding between Russia and Persia would be achieved with a lasting foundation of mutual respect, said the Persian Prime Minister in a broadcast. He was unable to wipe out all the misunderstandings between the two countries during his recent visit to Moscow. It had decided to hold an election when it was legally possible so that the nation could freely elect a new Parliament.
The Azerbaijan Democrats did not want autonomy but provincial selfgovernment within the framework of the Persian State, said the Parliamentary deputy for the Left Wing Tudeh Party Dr. Kishevarz.
He added that the differences between Russia and Persia were insignificant and should be a matter for direct negotiation. They should not be .presented to the Security Council.
