CUB SWIMMERS

PACK COMPETITION SHIELD TO WARNEFORD Representatives of all cub packs in the Gisborne area took part in a swimming carnival on Saturday morning at the Macrae baths, the chief interest attaching to inter-pack competition for a shield for approbate points. The 2nd Warneford pack carried off the trophy with a total of 19 points, Takitimu being second with 17 points, and Ist Warneford third with 11 points. Mangapapa and Tainui packs were equal fourth with 3 points each.

Following: the conclusion of the programme Miss J. McGregor, assistant commissioner for wolf cubs, presented the shield to Miss J. Gregory, cubmaster of the Warneford pack. Results of individual events were:
