TITO VISITS PRAGUE

PROTECTIVE MEASURES TRIP LINKED WITH TRIESTE PRAGUE, March 21. Unusual precautions were taken last night when Marshal Tito, of Yugpslavia, arrived for a three-day visit, apparently because of the presence in Prague of a number of Yugoslav emigres whose attitude towards President Tito is believed to be unfriendly, says Reuter’s correspondent. The police ordered the closing of all house and other windows on all main streets leading from the railway station to Zbraslav Castle, where Marshal Tito is staying. His visit is described as “a State visit without political significance,” but his arrival is generally connected with Yugoslavia’s desire to gain Czech support for her claims in Trieste at the forthcoming peace conference. Czechoslovakia is greatly interested in Trieste because it is her nearest outlet to the sea.
