Lyttelton Dispute’s Effect
Delays in the supply of grass seed for autumn sowing and of fodder for drought-affected farms are repercussions of the waterfront dispute at Lyttelton to be felt in the Auckland Province. The housewife is also affected as various grocery lines, already in very short supply, cannot be augmented until new stocks arrive from the South Island manufacturers.
