CEASE STRIFE IN INDIA (10 a.m.) NEW DELPII, March 5. “Let us here determine that peace arid the opportunity which was won by India’s fighting men shall not be soiled or squandered by internal strife,” said the Viceroy, Lord Wavell, in a speech at a parade marking the opening of Delhi’s victory week. - Lord Wavell and General Sir Claude Auchinleck, Commandcr-in-Chief, India, placed a wreath on the war memorial arch.
