BATTLE IN STREETS
COMMUNISTS & DEMOCRATS TWO DEAD; EIGHT INJURED ROME. March 4. The newspaper L’lndipendente reported that two persons were killed and eight seriously injured in a clash between Communists and Labour Democrats a.t Badolato, jn Calabria. The paper added .that 70 Labour Democrats were attacked with hand grenades and rifle fire as they emerged from a conference oil tiie local elections. Many arrests were made.
