SHORT SUPPLY PERSISTS I P A.) BLENHEIM, March 6. No immediate improvement in the supply of confectionery and biscuits can be expected by the New Zealand public for some time. This view was expressed by representatives of manufacturing firms during the annual conference of the New Zealand Biscuit and Confectionery Manufacturers’ Association, which concluded at The Portage, Marlborough Sounds, yesterday. The problem of maintaining the present supplies is described as acute, due to the shortage of sugar and glucose, while tinplate for containers is also m short supply. „ , The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. R.
