GENERAL ADVERTISEMENTS LOST, vicinity King's Theatre, Saturday, Coloured Perspex Parrot Brooch. Valued keepsake late husband. Reward. Address Herald. 972 ELECTRIC POWER RESTRICTIONS THE Poverty Bay Electric - power Board asks lor the co-operation of all its consumers in avoiding waste m the use of eicctricity. Due to drought conditions which have prevailed in the North Island for some time past the levels of Lakes Taupo and Waikaremoana have fallen very considerably and storage capacity for the supply or water to the hydro stations is practically exhausted. In addition, the approach of colder weather will create a larger maximum demand than the stations can generate. Available coal supplies are very much short of requirements. and the State Hydro-elec-tric Department has been forced to impose restrictions on all supply Authorities as from 4th March. The Power Board is anxious to keep to a minimum the cutting off of consumers in order to comply with the restrictions imposed, and accordingly asks the assistance of its consumers in saving electricity wherever they can. If all will help, this objective will be achieved. Permits for additional load will not be granted except where hardship is involved and other alternatives are not available, and this will apply particularly in the case of radiators. * R. P.
