' At a meeting of the committee of the Te Karaka branch of the Girl Guide Association it was reported that the committee had been fortunate in securing Mrs Movorley and Mrs Mitchell to act as Guide Lender am! Brown Owl respectively. A vote of thanks to Miss Mavis Manuel and Miss Lena Kuril was passed for the splendid work they had done. The Brownies will hold their first meeting in 1946 on Wednesday. March ill, at the Parish Hall. 'All girls between the ages of 11 years and 15 years who are interested in forming a new Girl Guide company are to attend the first meeting on March 14 at the Parish Hall.
