Breaches of Land Sales Act
Convicted of breaches of the Service men’s Settlement and Land Sales Ac! 19-13, Myrtle Ewing, Plimmerton. an. Maud Mary Nowbold, Taupo, were fine. .£SO and £5 respectively by Mr, .1. Miller, S.M., in Napier. The prosecution. which was the first of its kind in the district, arose from the sale of sections at Taupo for £350 when the price fixed by the Hawke's Bay Land Sales Committee was £3OO, the £SO difference being met between the parties concerned by the sale of a piece of jewellery.
