SMALLPOX SCARE
SEVEN CASES IN ESSEX
RUSH FOR VACCINATION LONDON, March 3. After the discovery in Essex County of seven cases of smallpox, two of which were fatal, hundreds queued to-day for vaccination at emergency centres. Six thousand service personnel are at present spending a 10-day period in. quarantine because smallpox was discovered in ships when they arrived at Liverpool.
