HOCKEY IN BOMBAY
KIWIS’ NARROW DEFEAT BOMBAY, Feb. 13. The New Zealand Services hockey team lost to the Combined Bombay Services by the oad goal in seven after a thrilling finish. ihc tourists appeared stale, having travelled JOOO miles in five weeks, with the result that Bombay led by four goals to ml a tew minutes after the interval. ...... But a magnificent recovery by the Kiwis, who scored three goals in five minutes, rattled the Bombay defence, which, howevei, lasted out the visitors’ attack. The Kiwis displayed an excellent knowledge of opening out the game, hilt lacked the stickvork. ball control and dribbling ability for which the Indians are famous.
