FRANCE'S LABOUR NEEDS
PARIS. Feb. 13
France will import between 2.000,000 and 3,000,000 foreign workers to help to meet her massive man-power problem, stated M. Patinaud, the Communist Under-Secretary of the Labour Ministry.
He added that French workers in future will be employed on production that is .most essential to economic recovery. The workers will be used for less skilled jobs and recruited mostly from Italy, with which negotiations are going on. Half a million German prisoners of the 700,000 now in France are working.
