EMPIRE MOMBASA
TEMPORARY TROUBLE LIFEBOAT IS RECALLED LONDON, Feb. 11. The steamer Empire Mombasa, sent out an SOS after she developed engine trouble off Suleskerry Rock, north of Cape Wrath. A lifeboat, answering the call, was fighting its way through the tremendous seas whipped up by a 60-miles-an-hour gale when the Empire Mombasa was reported to be proceeding under her own steam. The lifeboat was recalled. The Empire Mombasa was on her maiden voyage.
