DISCONTENT IN R.A.A.F.
DEMOBILISATION DELAYS LONGER SERVICE OPPOSED (9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 30. With the demobilisation of the Australian air force almost at a standstill and causing widespread discontent, R.A.A.F. airmen are being asked to sign on for two more years. This has given rise to much discontent among the men with long service. The men claim that the R.A.A.F. stations are being kept at strength unnecessarily to retain the acting rank of the officers.
