DAIRYMEN’S THREAT
NO MILK FOR CITIES HIGHER SUBSIDY ASKED (9 a.m.) SYDNEY. Jan. 30. Dairymen threaten to withhold milk from Sydney and Newcastle if they do not get an increase in the milk subsidy. The spokesman of the Milk Zone Dairymen’s Council says that future action will depend on the reply to be given by the Premier, Mr. W. J. McKell, to a request for an increase. A year-round price of Is 8d per gallon was requested.
