ELDERLY MAN’S DEATH
Falling and striking his head on the kerbside in the Tolaga Bay township yesterday, Mr. John Perry, aged 76. single, was rendered unconscious and later died at his home. Mr. Perry was walking along the street when he suddenly fell, striking his head on the kerb. He was taken to his home and was attended by Dr. Weeks, but died at 1 p.m. The cause of death, in the doctor’s opinion, was heart failure, which was accelerated by the fall. An inquest is to be held. The deceased was a resident of Tolaga Bay for many years and worked there a s a cook. He had no known relatives in New Zealand.
