RESTRICTION SOUGHT
o DIVORCE CASE REPORTS WOMEN’S MOVE IN N.S.W. (9 a.m.) SYDNEY. Jan. 30. A deputation from the United Associations of Women will ask the Chief Secretary, Mr. J. M. Baddcley, to-day to amend the law to restrict the publication of evidence in divorce cases. The organisation wants legislation similar to that in Britain, which confines reports to a statement of the names of the parties, the grounds, and the judge's comments. The aim is the banning of unwholesome reading and the removal of the threat of publicity.
