AERO CLUB FLYING
RESTRICTION LIFTED
NO AIR-TAXI WORK
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 18. The restriction on aero club flying has been removed by the Minister of Defence, Mr. F. Jones, subject in the meantime to the clubs not undertaking flying for hire or any air-taxi work. It is understood that the question of flying for hire will be settled once the New Zealand Airways Corporation defines its policy. Clubs in a position to resume their activity are receiving Tiger Moths from the De Havilland factory as quickly as they can be made available. There is as yet no statement of Government policy on the question of aero clubs .training youths for the Air Force Few flying licenses will' be current as a result of the long suspension of activity. To secure or renew a license it is necessary to apply to the Civil Aviation Department.
