JITTERY CONDITIONS BIG NOTES CALLED IN BOMBAY, Jan. 15 Jittery conditions prevailed in the city markets after a Government, ordinance calling in high denomination notes. The stock, share and bullion markets opened in a nervous atmosphere as further ordinances were rumoured. Extra police were drafted to the premises of the Reserve Bank of India to-day. when long queues Of people besieged the bank counters with high denomination notes. They were required to fill in forms giving details as to how the money was obtained before the notes were cashable.
