MISS RUTH DUNNE

A lifetime of 62 years spent in and around Gisborne ended unexpectedly yesterday when Miss Ruth Marcelle Dunne, youngest daughter of the lute Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dunne, Matawhero, died in the Cook Hospital. Miss Dunne was born and educated in Gisborne. In her earlier days she was employed in a clerical capacity with various concerns in the town, but latterly has been living in retirement. Although of a quiet and retiring disposition, Miss Dunne was known to a wide circle of friends, to whom the news of her passing will com e as a severe shock, particularly as up to a fortnight ago she enjoyed the best ol health.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. R. J. Cameron, Makauri, and by two brothers, Messrs. L. Dunne, Matawhero, and W. Dunne, Gisborne. A service will be held in Cochrane's chapel, William street, at 1.45 p.m. today, after which the funeral will leave for the Taruheru Cemetery.
