SUNDAY LABOUR MEETINGS

For the second time in a few weeks the Labour Party has brought an outside speaker to Gisborne, first Mr. Jim Roberts, and then the official organiser, Mr. Baxter. Unfortunately, both these gentlemen have only spoken on Sunday nights, which means that neople like myself who think that the Sabbath is not the day for politics have not been able to bear them. As Mr Baxter has been in the district foi a week or more, surely lie could have set aside one week night for a meeting in Gisborne. What I would have liked to ask them is why the Labom ennnorters in Gisborne are to be igSd and their candidate selected for them bv the executive committee m WeUingfon’ We have had to put up Sh a lot of talk about control of our organisation from outside instead ot Sr our own members. I agree with Mr. Kohcre that the Labour Party is committing suiclde ' DISGUSTED.
